Render4you Redshift render farm support for 3.5.21

Render4you Redshift Render Farm has rolled out an update, bringing its Redshift version up to 2025.0.1.

Please be aware that all tasks utilizing Redshift release 3.6 will now be using version 3.6.04. If you require a different version for your specific needs, we are happy to provide you with a custom version.

Earlier versions will be processed using Redshift versions 2.6.56 and 3.0.67, respectively.

Key Updates and Fixes

Version 2025.0.1 (2024.09)

  • Blender: Fixed an issue that enabled auxiliary AOVs for denoise even when the Denoise engine was disabled.
  • General:
    • Resolved a bug that could cause instability when rendering using Metal or CPU devices.
    • Transmission direct lighting now achieves feature parity with legacy sampling technology, addressing double-lighting issues.

Version 2025.0.0 (2024.09)

  • Cinema 4D:

    • Enhanced the image file UI to display the effective color space when "Auto" is selected.
    • Fixed crashes during tangent generation and a performance regression.
    • Resolved a bug causing incorrect outputs from the Substance Node and issues with Pyro volume changes not being detected by the IPR.
    • Dropped support for legacy Cinema 4D versions R21, S22, R23, and S24.
  • Maya:

    • Added support for GPU Cache scene objects.
    • Fixed module file deployment issues on macOS for Maya 2024 and 2025.
  • 3ds Max:

    • Render View is now visible in Network Render Server mode when the "Show Rendered Frame Window" option is enabled.
    • Added missing controls for toon ray contributions and removed obsolete Photon GI options from MAXScript.
  • Houdini:

    • Introduced support for Houdini 20.5 nodes and dropped support for version 18.0.
    • Improved IPR mesh updates and fixed rare crashes caused by viewport plugins.
  • Hydra:

    • Added full support for new Houdini 20.5 Copernicus nodes in both interactive and batch rendering.
    • Implemented various fixes for Redshift LOPs and option tabs.
  • General Enhancements:

    • Improved caustics rendering with new Brute Force caustics as an alternative to Photon mapping.
    • Enhanced light sampling to scale efficiently for multiple lights.
    • Upgraded OpenColorIO to version 2.3.4 and added support for Volume Z-Depth AOVs.
    • Resolved crashes related to GPU Cryptomatte and IPR texture sampling with large scenes.
