Redshift render farm support for 2.6.15

Render4you Redshift render farm support for 2.6.15

Render4you Redshift Render Farm has rolled out an update, bringing its Redshift version up to 2.6.15

Please be aware that all tasks utilizing Redshift release 2 will now be using version 2.6.15. If you require a different version for your specific needs, we are happy to provide you with a custom version.

Summary of the updates

For Maya:

  • Added support for denoising AOVs.
  • Improved support for the <renderpass> token in the global file name prefix, ensuring that <beautypath> and <beautyfile> correctly resolve <renderpass> to the AOV name rather than "Beauty."

For 3ds Max:

  • Added support for denoising AOVs.
  • Added support for previewing Redshift Bitmap in the viewport.
  • Added an option to save denoising utility buffers.
  • Exposed light include/exclude lists to MAXScript.
  • Enhanced handling of Redshift File Output and light group output paths with trailing separator characters.
  • Changed the default separator character to underscore for Redshift File Output.
  • Fixed a bug where Redshift File Output ignored custom Render Element paths.
  • Addressed a bug that could cause instability when rendering AOVs with Render View disabled.
  • Fixed a bug where render element bitmaps were not populated when Render View was disabled.
  • Fixed a bug where Max's Region/Crop didn't work when Render View was disabled.
  • Fixed a bug that caused a rendering exception for PFlow events with no mesh.
  • Fixed an issue where light "include" lists were ignored when none of the target objects were visible.
  • Fixed the UI for Redshift State shader.
  • Addressed an issue with European locales breaking Max UI.

For Cinema 4D:

  • Added initial support for Cryptomatte to Direct AOVs during Picture Viewer renders, with Multi-Pass output available for preview purposes.
  • Added support for denoising AOVs.
  • Ensured that user-specified utility AOVs are considered during denoising even if their multi-pass output is disabled.
  • Addressed an issue where the Editor Visibility state would be inadvertently reflected in IPR renders.
  • Fixed a potential crash in the ShaderGraph editor when the Auto Optimize Nodes option is enabled.
  • Addressed an issue in the IPR where a camera could be incorrectly unlocked under certain conditions.

For Houdini:

  • Added an option in the Houdini "Redshift" top menu bar to open the RS RenderView.
  • Fixed a bug introduced in v2.6.14 that resulted in flipped instances.
  • Added support for Cryptomatte.
  • Added support for denoising AOVs.
  • Fixed an issue with the tangents attributes while rendering with deformations motion blur enabled.
  • Made minor fixes in the RenderView rendering progress status.

For Katana:

  • Fixed a crash that occurred if a RenderOutputDefine node for the "primary" AOV was not available.
  • Added support for Cryptomatte.
  • Added support for denoising AOVs.
  • Fixed an issue with the tangents attributes while rendering with deformations motion blur enabled.

General Improvements and Fixes (All):

  • Fixed various Bias/Gain math node bugs.
  • Fixed a bug where OptiX initialization would produce crashes on systems without CUDA-enabled GPUs.
  • Fixed a tessellator bug that could make certain edges not tessellate enough, particularly near the edge of the screen.
  • Added a temporary workaround for an OptiX 5.1 bug.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause unusual-looking Global Illumination (GI) with low tone mapping values.
  • Added support for GI from volume scattering, with a legacy switch to disable this feature.
  • Added a new 'GI Max Trace Depth' option to all lights for finer control over lights affecting GI.
  • Fixed a bug that would cause light group Volume AOVs to leak their GI contributions into GI AOVs.
  • Fixed a bug that could produce corrupt/noisy ray-marched volumetric lighting when GI was enabled.
  • Fixed a bug in volume grid motion blur code that could produce crashes or volume corruption when motion blurred.
  • Fixed a bug that would cause visual corruption when the IDsAndCoverage AOV was enabled.
  • Fixed a bug where autocrop was always enabled for Cryptomatte.
  • The Volume shader's "Shadow Density Scale" now affects both direct lighting and GI.
  • Improved the handling of volume cutoffs with non-inverse-square-decay lights.
  • Fixed a bug introduced in 2.6.10 that could produce weird banding noise artifacts on volumetric spot lights.
  • Fixed a bug that could make redshiftCmdLine write incomplete/corrupt images.
  • Improved the single-scattering sampling efficiency.
