Render4you Redshift Render Farm has rolled out an update, bringing its Redshift version up to 3.0.61.
Please be aware that all tasks utilizing Redshift release 3 will now be using version 3.0.61. If you require a different version for your specific needs, we are happy to provide you with a custom version.
For Redshift 2 the latest release version 2.6.56 is used.
Summary of the updates
Autodesk Maya:
- XGen IGS are now rendered even if the xgenToolkit plugin isn't set to Auto Load.
- When a new shading group is interactively assigned to an XGen IGS, it is now rendered correctly.
- The Maxon noise no longer "swims" when a reference object is used.
- RenderView HDR/LDR file options settings are now synced with Redshift's file output settings.
- Fixed an issue with Physical Light's GUI not updating shadow controls correctly when changing light nodes.
Autodesk 3ds Max:
- RenderView HDR/LDR file options settings are now synced with the scene (Environment & Effects > Redshift Post FX > Output Switches).
- Added Displacement support to RS Incandescent material.
- Cleaned up the user interface for RS Incandescent material.
SideFX Houdini:
- Fixed a problem with the EXR metadata in the proxy scene files.
- Enabled the OSL node in the macOS metal builds.
- RenderView HDR/LDR file options settings are now synced with RS ROP settings.
- Addressed the live scene updating after changes in the object normals.
- Added a new "USD Skip Defaults Authoring" option to all the RS VOP nodes, enabled using the REDSHIFT_USD_SKIPDEFVALPARMS environment variable.
Foundry Katana:
- Fixed a problem with the EXR metadata in the proxy scene files.
RenderView:
- Fixed a bug which caused a crash when rendering after having deleted an AOV that was selected in the RV.
Real-Time (RT):
- Fixed a recently introduced bug that would cause the Maxon Noise shader type to get stuck.
General (All Supported Software):
- Making some of the direct lighting optimizations of 3.0.60 somewhat less "eager" to avoid edge case scenarios where lights were not sampled sufficiently.
- Fixed a recently introduced bug that could cause some texture mip-map levels to appear black, a bug introduced in 3.0.58.
- Fixed a recently introduced bug that could cause the out-of-core texture system to crash, a bug introduced in 3.0.60.
Hydra (USD):
- Addressed the live scene updating after changes in the object normals.
- Added a new "USD Skip Defaults Authoring" option to all the RS VOP nodes, enabled using the REDSHIFT_USD_SKIPDEFVALPARMS environment variable.:
