Redshift render farm support for 2.6.19

Render4you Redshift render farm support for 2.6.19

Render4you Redshift Render Farm has rolled out an update, bringing its Redshift version up to 2.6.19

Please be aware that all tasks utilizing Redshift release 2 will now be using version 2.6.19. If you require a different version for your specific needs, we are happy to provide you with a custom version.

Summary of the updates

For 3ds Max:

  • Removed excessive logging mistakenly released in version 2.6.16, which impacted Forest Pack scene translation time.
  • Implemented different logic for deriving Redshift output files when rendering with Deadline. You can read more about this in the official forum post.
  • Redshift EXR file output now overrides bit depth to 32-bit float for Depth, World Position, Motion Vectors, Normals, and Bump Normals AOVs.
  • Fixed a bug where Max framebuffers were not populated when using Redshift EXR output.

For Cinema 4D:

  • Added support for specifying custom reference geometry through the new Reference section in the Geometry tab of the RSObject tag. This is equivalent to Cinema 4D's Stick Texture tag.
  • Addressed an issue where Direct AOVs would not track the output directory during TeamRender.

For Houdini:

  • Addressed an issue when launching IPR rendering from the RenderView ROP selector menu.
  • Addressed a GUI mistake in some of the objects' flags available in the OBJ spare parameters.
  • Fixed a problem updating the scene's light-mesh associations when working with instancefile proxies.
  • Introduced the REDSHIFT_AUTOSPAREPARAMS variable, which can be set to "2" to add the spare parameters automatically only if there are RS ROP nodes in the scene.
  • Added the REDSHIFT_RV_ALWAYSONTOP environment variable, which can be set to "0" or "1" to configure the RSRenderView's always on top initial state.
  • Fixed a bug related to the mesh normals when they are not available in the object and the option to compute the vertex normals is disabled.

For Katana:

  • Addressed a GUI mistake in some of the objects' flags available in the RedshiftObjectSettings node.

General Improvements and Fixes (All):

  • Fixed a bug that produced incorrect global fog transmission after passing through a refractive object.
  • Fixed a bug that could result in incorrect light-linking for certain single-scattered sub-surface objects.
  • Added a new 'Color Mode' option to RS Physical Light to allow for both 'Color' and 'Temperature' combined.
  • Fixed some potential CUDA Volta GPU issues.

Redshift offers a variety of powerful features and works seamlessly with popular 3D modeling and animation software such as 3ds Max, Maya, Cinema 4D, and Blender
